Sociology of Law at Lund University is developing a specific focus on norms. The study of norms is a certain field of knowledge and norms are the core object in Sociology of Law.

The Postdoctoral Fellow Program Legal Cultures: Confrontations Beyond Comparison has been conceived as a central element of the Berlin research network Law in Context, funded by the City of Berlin since October 2009 and based at the Wissenschaftskolleg zu Berlin. The research network Law in Context aims to enhance, from a genuinely legal perspective, a re-contextualization of the law among its neighboring disciplines – the humanities and the cultural and social sciences.
